Dave Mackey is known for his driving dance drumming style. Southwest Ohio audiences have enjoyed his performances with Wizard, Mandolin Bridge, Lisa Biales, the Mackey Brothers Band, and many others. Dave’s drumming influences include heroes Ringo Starr, John Bonham, and Tony Williams. Dave grew up in Oxford, Ohio where he learned drumming playing ice cream socials under the old water tower. Dave’s big ears and familiarity with so many musical styles comes in handy bringing the big beat to the musical schizophrenia of the Gerhard Albinus Band.
